ACETON IN CHILDREN
Symptoms of acetonemic crisis in children:
pain and cramps in the stomach, poor appetite to the point of refusing to eat (even favorite foods),
stomach upset (constipation or diarrhea)
smell of acetone from the mouth, vomit, urine and skin
headache, tearfulness and moodiness, agitation and restlessness followed by lethargy, sleepiness, and weakness
signs of dehydration and intoxication (the child is lethargic, skin turgor is reduced, skin is pale with a blush on the cheeks)
possible increase in body temperature to 37.5-38.5 ° C
headaches, tearfulness and moodiness, agitation and restlessness, which is changed by lethargy, sleepiness and weakness
In case of recurrent acetonemic crises, experienced fathers can prevent their development by taking a number of prophylactic measures, including the use of BETARGIN in the recommended dose (see the instructions for use). This will help prevent the occurrence of vomiting and the above described manifestations of acetone, shorten its duration and avoid complications.

This condition manifests itself differently in each child, but the attacks, the so-called acetonemic crises, have the same type of symptoms.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
The child's acetone rises in the background of a viral infection, rises sharply and comes to a cramp, betargin should be taken only when acetone is detected or somehow and as a prophylactic? Victoria
Good afternoon! Betargin is recommended to take when acetonemic syndrome develops or when symptoms predictors of acetonemic crisis appear. Since you consciously know and associate an increase in acetone with viral infections and an increase in body temperature, you can start taking it without waiting for symptoms to appear. Stay healthy!
Good afternoon. The child is 7 years old, his acetone rose, the doctor prescribed betargin. How many days should I take it? We have been taking it for two days in the morning and in the evening...
Good afternoon! As a rule, with proper fractional use with acetonemic syndrome already on the 2nd day there should be improvements in the child's well-being and according to the test values. But continue Betargin better for another week to eliminate the negative effects of ketone bodies on the body and for normalization of metabolic processes. Be healthy!
